8.790 Selected Topics in Accelerator Physics


Class Info

Subject offered through a program offered by the United States Particle Accelerator School (USPAS). Topics include accelerator fundamentals, synchrotron radiation, free electron lasers, RF cavity and component design, superconducting and cryogenic technologies, beam diagnostics, and novel accelerator designs. Students must apply to and be accepted by USPAS to be eligible.

This class has 6.013, and 8.07 as prerequisites.

8.790 will not be offered this semester. It will be available in the Fall semester, and will be instructed by W. Barletta.

This class counts for a total of 0 credits.
