5.45 Heterocyclic Chemistry

Class Info

Provides an introduction to the chemistry of heterocyclic compounds. Surveys synthesis and reactivity of the major classes of heterocyclic organic compounds. Discusses the importance of these molecules in the pharmaceutical and other industries.

This class has 5.511, and 5.53 as prerequisites.

5.45 will not be offered this semester. It will be available in the Spring semester, and will be instructed by D. T. Cohen.

Lecture occurs 8:30 PM to 10:00 AM on Wednesdays and Fridays in 4-159.

This class counts for a total of 6 credits.
