Class Info

Provides an introduction to the chemistry of heterocyclic compounds. Surveys synthesis and reactivity of the major classes of heterocyclic organic compounds. Discusses the importance of these molecules in the pharmaceutical and other industries.

This class has 5.511, and 5.53 as prerequisites.

5.45 will be offered this semester (Spring 2018). It is instructed by S. Buchwald.

Lecture occurs 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM on Tuesdays in 4-163.

This class counts for a total of 6 credits. This is a graduate-level class.
