Class Info

Provides an introduction to the chemistry of heterocyclic compounds. Surveys synthesis and reactivity of the major classes of heterocyclic organic compounds. Discusses the importance of these molecules in the pharmaceutical and other industries.

This class has 5.511, and 5.53 as prerequisites.

5.45 will be offered this semester (Spring 2019). It is instructed by S. Buchwald.

Lecture occurs 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays in 3-370.

This class counts for a total of 6 credits.
