4.115 Architecture Design Studio II


Class Info

Introduces skills needed to build within contemporary cities, extending from the historical center to expanding edges. Students analyze an existing environment and design a built structure that fosters relationships between its intended activities and the larger urban territory and redefines the urban environment. Design project emphasizes social, cultural or civic programs. Preference to Course 4 majors. Mandatory lottery.

This class has 4.114 as a prerequisite.

4.115 will not be offered this semester. It will be instructed by William O'Brien.

Lecture occurs 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays in STUDIO.

This class counts for a total of 21 credits.
