3.983 Ancient Mesoamerican Civilization

Class Info

Examines development of selected ancient Mesoamerican civilizations using archaeological and ethnohistorical evidence. Focuses on Olmec, Maya, Teotihuacan and Aztec, considering key technological, environmental, social organizational and ideological variables. Includes major group research project. Limited to 10.

This class has no prerequisites.

3.983 will not be offered this semester. It will be available in the Spring semester, and will be instructed by D. Hosler.

Lecture occurs 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays in 66-148.

This class counts for a total of 9 credits. This class counts as a HASS S.
