Class Info

A survey of the music of North and South America from the Renaissance to the present, with emphasis on the cross-fertilizations of indigenous and European traditions. Listening assignments will focus on composers as varied as Copland and Still, Revueltas and Chihara.

This class has no prerequisites.

21M.215 will not be offered this semester. It will be available in the Spring semester, and will be instructed by C. Shadle.

Lecture occurs 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM on Mondays and Wednesdays in 4-152.

This class counts for a total of 12 credits. This class counts as a HASS A.
