18.330 Introduction to Numerical Analysis

Class Info

Basic techniques for the efficient numerical solution of problems in science and engineering. Root finding, interpolation, approximation of functions, integration, differential equations, direct and iterative methods in linear algebra. Knowledge of programming in Fortran, C, or MATLAB helpful.

This class has 18.02, 18.03, and 18.032 as prerequisites.

18.330 will be offered this semester (Fall 2017). It is instructed by M. Taus.

Lecture occurs 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in 2-132.

This class counts for a total of 12 credits.
