18.200 Principles of Discrete Applied Mathematics


Class Info

Study of illustrative topics in discrete applied mathematics, including probability theory, information theory, coding theory, secret codes, generating functions, and linear programming. Instruction and practice in written communication provided. Enrollment limited.

This class has 18.06 as a corequisite.

18.200 will be offered this semester (Spring 2019). It is instructed by P. W. Shor and A. Ferber.

Lecture occurs 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in 4-237.

This class counts for a total of 15 credits. This class counts as a CI-M.
