14.472 Public Economics II


Class Info

Theory and evidence on government expenditure policy and on regulatory and tax responses to problems of market failure. Focuses on social insurance programs such as social security and unemployment insurance, and on the causes and consequences of rising health expenditures.

This class has 14.471 as a prerequisite.

14.472 will not be offered this semester. It will be available in the Spring semester, and will be instructed by H. Williams and J. Spinnewijn.

Lecture occurs 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM on Mondays and Wednesdays in E51-057.

This class counts for a total of 12 credits.
