14.271 Industrial Organization I


Class Info

Covers theoretical and empirical work dealing with the structure, behavior, and performance of firms and markets and core issues in antitrust. Topics include: the organization of the firm, monopoly, price discrimination, oligopoly, and auctions. Theoretical and empirical work are integrated in each area.

This class has 14.04 as a prerequisite.

14.271 will not be offered this semester. It will be available in the Fall semester, and will be instructed by M. Whinston and N. Agarwal.

Lecture occurs 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesdays in E51-376.

This class counts for a total of 12 credits.
