10.32 Separation Processes


Class Info

General principles of separation by equilibrium and rate processes. Staged cascades. Applications to distillation, absorption, adsorption, and membrane processes. Use of material balances, phase equilibria, and diffusion to understand and design separation processes.

This class has 10.213, and 10.302 as prerequisites.

10.32 will not be offered this semester. It will be available in the Spring semester, and will be instructed by T. A. Hatton.

Lecture occurs 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM on Tuesdays and Thursdays in 4-231.

This class counts for a total of 6 credits.
