1.061A Transport Processes in the Environment I
Introduction to mass transport in environmental flows. Covers derivation and solution to the differential form of mass conservation, hydraulic models for environmental systems, residence time distribution, and molecular and turbulent diffusion for continuous and point sources. Meets with 1.061 first half of term.
This class has 1.060A as a prerequisite.
1.061A will not be offered this semester. It will be available in the Fall semester, and will be instructed by H. Nepf.
Lecture occurs 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in 48-316.
This class counts for a total of 6 credits.
